Car history:
The blue on tan color combination is super sharp and very desirable. This car actually came from the factory as a 350/350hp with a/c, but the engine has since been replaced and the major components of the a/c system removed.
Exterior: The blue exterior paint is very presentable and in great driver condition. There are no major scratche, chip, or other damage in the paint that are not pictured. The paints finish has an excellent gloss. The car was just recently painted within the past two years. Often many corvettes will have particularly chipped up front ends, this car does not. There are some small blemishes and spots in the paint showing old body work that were too small to show in in photos, but nothing that can been seen from 5 feet away. The car still retains the original "Astro Ventilation" side glass, a good indication that this car has never been in a serious accident. The chrome bumpers are in great condition for a driver and show extremely well. The tires are literally brand new and still have the mold marks on them. The American Racing wheels are also brand new and are one of the greatest style and focal points of this car. The hood is a much lighter aftermarket unit and does not fit as well as a stock hood. Also, the body gap next to the left headlight bucket is not perfect.
Interior: The saddle leather interior of the corvette is in terrific condition. This car is an original saddle leather car as indicated by the code on trim pad, 421. The seats both look great showing almost no wear at all. The driver's seat is not worn in the typical area where the driver gets in and out of the car. The carpet is also in nice condition with no rip, hole, or stain. The dash and center console look great and have no tear sun damage. There is one very small hairline crack in the dash. The aftermarket radio is a corvette specific application and the installation looks very professional. This car has not been smoked in, there is no aroma or burn mark anywhere. Both door panels fit very well and look as good as new. The red switch on the center console is for the electric fuel pump.
Mechanical: This Corvette is in great mechanical condition. It is a cold blooded like most older carbureted cars, but starts up quickly, runs well, idles well, and does not smoke at all. This Corvette has plenty of power, it is very fast. The transmission is a 3 speed automatic. It shifts well throughout the engine's power band. The brakes are powerful and stop straight. This car has NO RUST issue. The frame is solid and clean as is the area around the "A" pillar. Everything on this car works with the exception of the clock. All of the outside and inside lights work, all of the gauges work, and the headlights flip up. The exhaust is new and gives the car a very healthy tone. Overall, the overall condition of the 1969 Corvette is in great condition for a driver, both the exterior and interior. Colors from the owner. 87,590 miles from the odometer. February 28, 2009.
